Secretary General of BIMSTEC, H.E. Indra Mani Pandey, attended the 9th edition of the Raisina Dialogue 2024 held in New Delhi from 21-23 February 2024. The Raisina Dialogue, India’s flagship geopolitics and geo-economic forum, is jointly organised by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the independent think tank Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

The Secretary General participated in the Conversation over Breakfast – The BIMSTEC Parley: Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development, on 22 February, along with the State Minister of Finance of Sri Lanka, Hon. Shehan Semasinghe; Member of Parliament of Nepal, Hon. Swarnim Wagle; Policy Analyst, OECD, Ms. Moongyung Lee; Chairman, D-8, Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Bangladesh, Mr. Sheikh Fazle Fahim; Director, SELISE Digital Platforms, Bhutan, Mr. Tshering Dorji, and Associate Fellow, Centre for Social and Economic Progress, India, Ms. Riya Sinha.

During the deliberations, a number of new ideas were discussed for expanding regional cooperation through BIMSTEC.
