A 3-day Training Programme on Public Private Partnerships for Transport Infrastructure Projects for BIMSTEC has commenced in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 12 November 2024. Mr. Dongxiang Li, Lead Regional Cooperation Specialist, Regional Cooperation and Integration Unit for South Asia Department, ADB, delivered opening remarks, while Mr. Veerasakdi Prem-Aree, Director (Connectivity) at BIMSTEC Secretariat, provided welcome remarks on behalf of the Secretary-General of BIMSTEC. With insights from ADB and BIMSTEC member States, delegates will explore case studies, share best practices of PPP approaches as well as strengthen strategies for enhanced connectivity across the Bay of Bengal region. Hosted by BIMSTEC Secretariat in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this Training Program will end on 14 November 2024.
