A three-day capacity building program, focused on "Cross-border Paperless Trade and Digital Trade Facilitation", was held from 21-23 January 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The program was jointly organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the BIMSTEC Secretariat, aimed at enhancing trade facilitation in the region through digital solutions and paperless systems.

The program was focused on promoting paperless cross-border trade and digital solutions, which are essential for improving trade efficiency and reducing administrative burdens. It also brought together experts and stakeholders from BIMSTEC member States to share knowledge and best practices in the implementation of digital trade systems.
