The Second Meeting of the BIMSTEC Expert Group on Human Resource Development was held on 16 July 2025 in Colombo. It finalized the BIMSTEC Plan of Implementation of the Plan of Action for Human Resource Development (2025–2029) and deliberated on the way forward to strengthen regional cooperation in Human Resource Development (HRD). Sri Lanka is the lead member State for forging cooperation in HRD sector.
