The BIMSTEC Secretariat, in collaboration with the Department of Law, University of Chittagong, successfully organised an outreach programme titled “From the Shores of the Bay of Bengal: Advancing Regional Cooperation through BIMSTEC” on 3 September 2026 at the Department of Law Auditorium, University of Chittagong, Chattogram, Bangladesh.

The programme brought together students and academics to promote awareness and youth engagement in advancing regional cooperation in the Bay of Bengal region. In addition to a keynote address delivered by Ms. Sonam C. Namgyel, Director of Public Diplomacy and External Publicity, BIMSTEC Secretariat, Young Scholars Certificates were awarded to the top three write-ups submitted by students of the University of Chittagong.
