The Special Meeting of the BIMSTEC Permanent Working Committee was held in person in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 21-22 December with the participation of all the Member States. The Meeting deliberated extensively on the draft Rules of Procedures for the core BIMSTEC Mechanisms towards finalizing it. The Meeting also finalized the Rules of Procedure for the BIMSTEC Sectoral Mechanisms for submission to the BIMSTEC Senior Officials’ Meeting. In addition, the Meeting also finalized the Procedures and Rules for the BIMSTEC Cultural Industries Commission and the draft Terms of Reference for the Eminent Persons’ Group.
