The 3rd Meeting of the BIMSTEC Expert Group on Maritime Security Cooperation held in New Delhi on 11 September 2024 finalized Draft BIMSTEC Guidelines for Maritime Component of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR). The Meeting also discussed the Draft BIMSTEC Guiding Principles: Conduct of MLEAs during Interaction at Sea and Draft BIMSTEC Guidelines for Coordinated Marine Oil Spill Response.
