The Meeting of Senior Officials on Energy (SOM-E) generally prepares for the BIMSTEC Energy Ministers’ Meeting and follows up and coordinates the implementation of agreements and decisions of the BIMSTEC Energy Ministers’ Meeting and coordinates with the BIMSTEC Expert Group Meeting on Energy (EG-E) and BIMSTEC Grid Interconnection Coordination Committee (BGICC) as well as BIMSTEC Energy Centre (BEC). The SOM-E is composed of Permanent Secretaries of Ministries of Energy/Heads of Energy Departments of Member States.
