The 7th Meeting of the BIMSTEC Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (JWG-CTTC) held in Bangkok, Thailand on 04-05 August 2015 agreed to establish a new Sub-Group called ‘BIMSTEC Sub-Group on Human Trafficking.
The 1st Meeting of the BIMSTEC Sub-Group on Human Trafficking (SG-HT)
held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 26-27 September 2023 finalized the Terms of Reference of the Sub-Group discussed the draft Plan of Action to Combat Human Trafficking in the Bay of Bengal Region.
