The Second Meeting of BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 28 March 2018 decided to establish the BIMSTEC Think Tanks Dialogue on Regional Security.
The Think Tanks Dialogue on Regional Security met two times and discussed on various themes covering non-traditional security threats in the Bay of Bengal region. The meetings put sets of recommendations to combat non-traditional security threats among BIMSTEC Member States.
